👉The characteristics of the organisms present in the Phylum Annelida are as follows:👇👇👇
1. Lamarck gave term phylum Annelida.
2. The Annelids are coelomate and triploblastic.
3. They exhibit organ level organization.
4. Body symmetry is bilateral, body elongated.
5. Their body is segmented.
6. They respire through their body surface.
7. Locomotory organs are setae or chaetae, parapodia.
8. Nephridia are the excretory organs.
9. They have a well-developed circulatory and digestive system.
10. Their body contains haemoglobin, which gives them a red colour.
11. Regeneration is a very common characteristic of the Annelids.
12. Setae help them in movement.
13. Most of the Annelids are hermaphrodite, i.e., male and female organs are present in the same body. They reproduce both sexually and asexually. The others reproduce sexually.
